Hey Jamie, I saw this a while back and finally gave it a try this weekend. It turned out great, I am really enjoying it. I have passed it along to several friends and submitted it, with your credit, to the fat loss site I have been using this year. I am down 46 Pounds and have about 10 or so more to go. PS-Jamie is it stage 2 carrots w/ texture or or stage 1 completely smooth? I read in Oxygen, where you mentioned these. I went online to see if I can find more about it. I am so psyched & love you for posting these as I cannot eat gluten (no wheat-rye-barely- & I am even sensitive to all conventional brands of oats (which may have cross contamination of wheat). But Bob’s Red Mill now makes guaranteed GF oats I can mill into flour!

Honestly, I use whatever is available. Just go for whey because casein tends to be heavier and makes the bars more dense.

I’m so glad you like them! They have been a lifesaver for me for traveling. I’ve tried applesauce too and that tastes just as yummy! :)

I’ve never made it with the yokes. That adds more calories and fat but for an entire recipe, its probably not too bad. Also, depending on your goals, you may be wanting to add size, so yokes make sense.

Hey Jamie, I made your recipe and it was yummy. Mine came out a little under done so I think I’ll add more flour next time.

I know that you said in your video that baby food is the best and that you’ve tried to make the recipe with shredded carrots and it didn’t turn out as good. But have you tried to steam the carrots and then mush them up (like mashed potatoes). This will let you be in even more control of what exactly your putting in and you could leave the skins on for more flavor.

I found your carrot cake protein bar video last night after many searches for protein bar recipes. Almost every other recipe I’ve found is gross or tasteless.

Then I found yours. I love apples, so I substituted apple sauce (no sugar added kind) and it is AWESOME! Next time I’m going to use fresh carrots and a food processor. Jamie, you’ve made me very happy with this recipe. You are awesome! You rock!
