I am young and healthy and need a health insurance plan for myself. Essentially, I just need health insurance in case of a freak accident that will land me in a hospital. Any suggestions? The cheapest so far has been $51 a month. I don’t care about deductibles or any of that. Just that it has the lowest monthly fee. Thanks!

YOu are not the only one who met this problem,I have met this type of problem before.I have good experience here http://www.HealthInsuranceIdeas.info/free-online-health-insurance.htm to solve my similiar problem.
jacquetta, Health insurance can be very tricky. Since I’m from Nevada I’m not familiar with the California regulations, so I suggest you call a nearby insurance agent. http://www.goodinternetdeals.com/Health-Insurance.html They should be able to assist you.
Count your lucky starts you are “young and healthy”! You should have no problem obtaining a personal health insurance policy.
As far as “not caring about deductibles”, it will be the deductibles that actually determine how much you will pay in a premium (your monthly payment). So choosing a high-deductible plan may be sensible, SO LONG AS you also have savings which will cover the deductible for the “what ifs”.
Make sure you also look carefully over the various policy coverages. If you can find plans that have equal monthly premiums, but one provides better coverage, you should go with that plan.
There is a deductibles worksheet on this site that walks through the money savings you can incur by choosing a high deductible plan.
